I want to express my feelings on the illegal taxi park now causing obstruction at the Sango/Polytechnic junction in Ibadan, Oyo state. Anybody passing from Mokola to the University of Ibadan will notice the entrance of the popular motor park at Sango where vehicles plying The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Beere, Oje, Gate and Iwo Road pick and drop passengers and their wares. Over the years, the motor park in question had provided opportunities to vehicles plying the above routes to pick and drop passengers without any hindrance to traffic. Refuse truck driver kills okada rider, passenger in Oyo

An okada rider and his passenger were crushed to death in Ibadan, Oyo State after a refuse disposal truck driver ran over them along Ijokodo-Apete road at about 4.30p.m on Friday. The incident which occurred very close to the gate of The Polytechnic, Ibadan which links Apete community, involved a truck with registration number V489 DEF and a Bajaj motorcycle with registration number KNR 890 QD. The okada rider was identified as Christopher Osadolor, from Delta State and the passenger, a young mother of one, was named Bose Abodurin. Both reportedly died on the spot. Poly students beg Akinjide for replacement of bus gift

The euphoria with which the students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan received the bus donation given to them on Tuesday by the Minister of State for Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Olajumoke Akinjide has turned to despair, few hours after its receipt, following which the students beg the Minister to replace it. Amidst pomp and pageantry, the bus, one of the four given to four tertiary institutions in the state, University of Ibadan (UI), Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso and Emmanuel Alayande College of Education (EACOE), Oyo could not get to The Polytechnic campus before it broke down.
