Oyo to begin quarterly interface with public on activities, policies

To bring the people closer, the Oyo State Government says it will begin quarterly town hall meetings with members of the public to convey its plans, policies, efforts and actions, and get feedback. Alhaji Olalekan Alli, the Secretary to the State Government, disclosed the plan in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday in Ibadan. Governor Ajimobi Reappoints Alli as SSG

Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has announced the retroactive reappointment of Mr. Ishmael Olalekan Alli as Secretary to the State Government. A statement by the Special Adviser, Communication and Strategy, Mr. Yomi Layinka, conveyed the governor’s decision, on Friday. It will be recalled that Alli, who was the SSG during the governor’s first term, has been functioning as SSG designate since the commencement of the second term of Ajimobi’s administration in June, last year. A former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Dejo Raimi, has died. The astute politician gave up the ghost in the early hours of Sunday. The deceased was aged 80 and served as SSG in the administration of former Oyo State governor, late Kolapo Ishola.
