Police seal CJN Onnoghen’s office, eject staff

The Police on Monday sealed off the office of the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen. The police stormed the office located at the Supreme Court premises on Monday morning. Ibadan Arson Not Politically Motivated – Police

Oyo State Police Commissioner, Abiodun Odude, has revealed that preliminary investigation into the burning down of houses and shops in three major areas in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Sunday was not politically motivated. The CP stated this while answering questions on the matter that saw 20 houses and over 18 shops burnt in Idi-Arere, Asaka, and Oja Igbo area of Ibadan. The Commissioner also stated that the force has mapped out strategies to deal with such occurrences in the future. Four persons were arrested in connection with the attack in Ibadan on Sunday. PDP raises alarm over plot to remove Saraki with Police, DSS

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has raised an alarm over a fresh plot to use the Police and the Department of State Services (DSS), to forcefully remove Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, from office. Human head found with A 32 year old man in the city of Ibadan

Right here in the ancient city of Ibadan, a suspected ritualist, Taju Olalekan, has been arrested by the Oyo State Police Command for being in possession of a fresh human head. In a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Adekunle Ajisebutu, the 32-year old suspect was arrested at Modina area, Idi-Aro, Ibadan, at about 6.30 a.m. on Sunday. THE Oyo State Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old man, Olalekan, allegedly caught with a human head in nylon. The suspected ritualist, according to the Public Relations Officer, SP Adekunle Ajisebutu, was arrested at Modina area, Idi-Aro, Ibadan at about 6.30a.m. The arrest of the suspect followed information by members of the public, who raised the alarm over his strange and suspicious movement.
