On the same day, in the same city, and literally during the same hour, two Oyo State gubernatorial candidates – Communications Minister Adebayo Shittu and Health Commissioner Azeez Adeduntan – got on separate radio stations to talk to the citizens and field questions but ended up displaying a remarkable degree of arrogance and condescension that showed they lacked the temperament and finesse for such an important office. Measles Campaign: Oyo deploys over 80,000 mobilizers across the state

The Oyo State Government has deployed 80,351 individuals to serve as House to House mobilizers, facilitators, town announcers and social mobilizers for the on-going 2018 measles immunization across the state from March 15 to 27, 2018. The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Azeez Adeduntan disclosed this on Thursday in Ibadan during the flag-off of the 2018 measles vaccination campaign at Ibadan North Local Government area. Oyo state government shuts College of Education over protest

Oyo State Government has announced the indefinite closure of the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, following violent protest by students over welfare issues. A statement by the state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela, conveyed the closure, in Ibadan, on Friday. The statement directed students to vacate the school premises immediately, while law enforcement agents have been enjoined to secure lives and government property on the college.
