Ibadan master plan will address estimated 11.3 million population —Oyo government

Plans by the Oyo State government to accommodate the 11.3 million estimated population of Ibadan, the state capital by 2036 are contained in the Ibadan master plan. Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Physical Planning and Urban development, Alhaji Waheed Gbadamosi, who stated this on Tuesday, added that the master plan intended to guide development in undeveloped areas and especially provide sufficient land capacity to accommodate the anticipated population. South West Governors Meet in Ibadan Today

The six governors from the South-West zone of the country will converge on Ibadan, Oyo State capital, on Monday, for an Economic Forum, aimed principally at discussing and promoting issues of common concern and interest. Automatic promotion failed us – Oyo State Government

The Oyo State Government has said that the automatic promotion policy in the state has resulted in indolence and nonchalant attitude on the part of pupils. It also vowed to reverse the situation in which pupils achieve 20 per cent pass rates in external examinations.
