ASUU finally calls off three-month-old strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities on Thursday called off the three-month-old strike it embarked upon over revitalisation of universities, academic earned allowances, issuance of Universities Pension Management Company and other issues. The strike was called off after a two-hour meeting with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige. Ngige said after the meeting that eight areas of disagreement were discussed and agreed on by the two parties, while expressing gratitude to ASUU leadership for their understanding. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on February 7, 2019 secured a court order for the arrest of a former Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayodele Oke and his wife, Folasade. Justice Chukwujeku Aneke issued the order consequent upon an oral application by the EFCC counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo. EFCC nabs 7 yahoo boys in Ibadan, recovers exotic cars

A group of seven internet fraudsters met their waterloo after operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raided their apartment and arrested them in Ibadan, Oyo state. According to the statement released on the official Facebook page of the crime fighting commission, the suspects are identified as follows; Ola Sam, Demeji Abiola, Segun Isaac, Oyinloye Jubril, Bamidele Adeboyega, Hassan Afeez and Sanni Muyideen.
