Arisekola-Alao’s wife buried

ONE of the wives of the late Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Arisekola-Alao, Alhaja Jelilat, on Tuesday, died in an accident around Eyenkorin, Ilorin, Kwara State, at 62. Her remains was interred at her  Larry Quarters residence,  Apata, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, according to Islamic rites at 4.00 p.m, on Wednesday. As early as the news filtered into town, associates of late Arisekola-Alao and the children of the deceased, Fatimah and Abdulahi, started trooping in to commiserate with the family. Some of the dignitaries included the wife of the Oyo State governor, Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, Baale Bodija, Alhaji Rasheed Adesokan, among others. In his sermon after the interment, Chief Imam of Arisekola-Alao Mosque, Sheikh Mustapha Akuru, urged the family to take solace in Almighty Allah. He urged them not to allow incident take them away from their faith and God. According to him: “As a Muslim, it is clear that all souls will taste death; though it is painful, because of the timing, but Allah knows his plan. “ I want to urge the family to be steadfast and not be moved. It is from him we came and definitely, we will return unto him at His appointed time.”
