Police deploys new DCP to Oyo command

A new Deputy Commissioner of Police in-Charge of Finance and Administration, Sam A. Okaula has been deployed to Oyo State Police Command, to take over from DCP Clement Adoda who was redeployed to Rivers State. Mr Sam Okaula was Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to Inspector General of Police (IGP), before his deployment to Rivers State Command as Deputy Commissioner of Police in-Charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) from where he came to Oyo State. The Deputy Commissioner of Police is said to be a seasoned police officer with a high sense of discipline. On assumption of duty, he was said to have met with Divisional Police Officers and solicited for their unflinching support as was done to his predecessor, charging them to give their very best in their designated duty posts. He assured them of his accessibility and friendliness but warned that professional ethics and standards would not be compromised. Okaula commended the Command for the low crime rate he met on ground, and stated that he was indeed, proud of the police in the Command. The new Deputy Commissioner holds a first degree in Political Science and History from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Master’s Degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos. He got enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP and has attended several courses within and outside the country.
