Odu’a Investment Company Limited has named Mr. Adewale Raji as its new Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer following the voluntary retirement of Mr. Adebayo Jimoh, who had been the conglomerate’s head for the past nine years. The company said Raji emerged as the new GMD after a thorough and competitive selection process carried out by KPMG Advisory Services. The new boss will resume on June 2, 2014, the company said in a statement on Sunday. According to the firm, Raji is a 1985 graduate of History from the University of Jos and was in the pioneer MBA class of the Lagos State University, graduating in 1997 with specialisation in Marketing. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Logistics Management. Before his selection as Odu’a GMD, Raji had accumulated over 28 years working experience, serving predominantly with the PZ Cussons Nigeria Group, where he rose to become the Managing Director, Distribution Services, overseeing the conglomerate’s Strategic Business Unit, which is responsible for outbound logistics and customer services. He had also worked at Reckitt Benckiser Nigeria Limited as Planning Procurement and Logistics Manager, but was recalled by PZ within the same year, it added.
