PDP Will Reclaim Oyo In 2015- Muraina
A member of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Ajibola Muraina, has assured that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will return to office in Oyo State come 2015 election, declaring that the party had continued to receive more members into its fold including others who initially left in frustration. Muraina, who is representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency of the state, said this while speaking with news men in Ibadan during the weekend. According to Muraina, who recently welcomed over 3,000 defectors into PDP at Igangan, Ayete and Igboora in his Ibarapa constituency, “the gale of decampment rocking the All Progressives Party (APC) and Accord Party with the PDP as the beneficiary was an indication that the party would rule the state in 2015. Muraina, who is Chairman, Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), said it was now clear to people of Oyo that the PDP remained the party to beat come next general election as they have now seen the difference between a party that made and fulfilled promises and the one that did otherwise.
He assured the new members that their interest would be well taken care of without any discrimination. The lawmaker explained that the PDP, apart from its capacity to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people without discrimination, encourages and practises internal democracy, just as it gives rooms for members to exercise their political right and freedom without any restrictions.
