UNIFEMGA opens youth camp today

The Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates Association (UNIFEMGA), Ibadan, Oyo State chapter will hold this year’s edition of its annual youth camp between today and Monday. A statement by the association’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Abdulfattah Alade, stated that the theme of the event is “Insecurity and Corruption in Nigeria: Role of Muslim Youths.” The statement said the camp, which would be held at Muslim Association of Nigeria (MAN) centre in Ibadan, will feature Qur’an memorisation, Hadith, lectures, sports, debates, vocational trainings and general discussion on Islam. It said the event aimed at engaging the Muslim youths and inculcate in them, true spirit of Islamic brotherhood. “This year’s camp is unique as we are going to teach the children more on Islamic principles, leadership concepts in Islam as well as etiquettes,” the statement added. More than 200 youths and 20 resource persons are expected at the four-day event.
