Ibadan S/West LG graduates 156 in computer literacy

Youth devcelopment and education are the keys to the advancement of any society. This was stated by the chairman of Ibadan South-West Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mr. Taoreed Adeleke, on the occasion of the graduation and presentation of certificates to the students who have just concluded a six-week free ICT training held at the council ICT centre, Odo-Ona, Apata, Ibadan. According to the chairman, the initiative of Senator Abiola Ajimobi, towards the ICT programme would make Nigerian youths to compete with their counterparts anywhere, adding that this was the beginning of many good things to come in fulfillment of the promises of the present administration.
The facilitator of the training, Mr. Gabriel Ayayia, acknowledged the kind gesture of the chairman for making the training a reality and for the opportunity given to the youths within the local government to be ICT compliant. The facilitator added that the students were taken through the seven modules in different aspects of computer training including the use of the social media and microsoft office packages which had made them to be computer literate. In his contribution, the head of the local government administration, Pastor Olumuyiwa Olaoye, asserted that the ICT centre which was commissioned by Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, last year is now in full and profitable use.
