Oyo Declares Thursday Public Holiday

Oyo State government has declared Thursday, 21st September, 2017 as public holiday to mark the Islamic New Year,1439.
The Secretary to the Government, Alhaji Olalekan Alli made the declaration in a statement made available to Media.

The SSG explained that the holiday was to commemorate the Islamic New Year,1439 AH (After Hijrah).
He stated that Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi enjoined all and sundry in the state to use the occasion to pray for the peace, unity and sustainability of the state in particular and the country in general.
