First of its kind, the Lipton brand of Unilever make its debut with its Ramadan Iftar as part of its big cities Ramadan campaign with hashtag; #ThinkLessDoMore.
The Lipton Ramadan campaign is about encouraging our Muslim brothers and sisters to not just think of being a better person, but also do more by giving to others.
Speaking on the campaign at the Housing Central Mosque, Bodija, Ibadan, the Category Manager Tea and Spreads, Vivian Ihaza explained, “With our flagship brand, which is Liption yellow Label tea, we believed it is one of our responsibilities to celebrate with our host consumer because we have consumers all over Nigeria, so it is an opportunity to encourage our Muslim consumers as they embark on their period of Ramadan.
“As you know, this is Ramadan period and Unilever Nigeria as a corporate organisation has been around for so many decades, it is our duty to join our Muslim consumers to celebrate this special month.

“The Ibadan outing is the first, last year, we were in Ijebu Ode and a few other cities in the west and other places in the country. But this time around, we decided to come to Ibadan because it is a big city for us to encourage our consumers.
“The reception has be encouraging, just as we received everywhere we have gone to, including Kaduna, Lagos, Kano, Abuja, Jos, Nassarawa among others,” Ihaza added.
Ihaza explained that Lipton brand of Unilever products is a global brand and a market leader and we believe this Ramadan treat will strengthen the bond between the brand and our customers.
“So what we are doing at the period of fasting is encouraging Muslims to not only think of being a better person, but also do it by giving and sharing, which is the main essence of the Lipton Lounge at
different cities in Nigeria.
Corroborating Ihaza, the Secretary of the Muslim Community at Housing Central Mosque, Bodija, Mr Lukmon Ogunrinde, while explaining the significance of the month of Ramadan, said “it is a time of multiple rewards, which for every 10 things you do, you get 700 fold. It is also a month of interceding, forgiveness, fasting and generosity among others.
He commended the support of Lipton Brand of Unilever products for celebration and encouragement our Muslim brothers and sisters at the special period of Ramadan, adding that their rewards are also going to be in folds.
