Kidnapping: Police Rescue 3-year-old Girl From Kidnappers In Ibadan
Men of the Oyo State Police Command have rescued three-year-old Omolade Abdulsalam allegedly kidnapped in Ibadan, Oyo State. The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, Mr Leye Oyebade while briefing journalists at the police headquarters, Eleyele, yesterday said the victim was kidnapped on March 30 in her residence at Adegbayi area of the state. According to him, some kidnappers had took her to unknown place thereby preventing her parents from having access to her. Oyebade added that few hours later, the suspected kidnappers called the parents and demanded N500,000 ransom as a condition for her release.
The CP further disclosed that when the report got to the police, the anti-kidnapping squad of the command immediately commenced investigation which led to the discovery of the location in Adegbayi Alakia area.
He said detectives stormed the hideout, one suspect, Olayinka Taiwo (20) was arrested and the victim rescued unhurt.
The police boss said the suspect had confessed to the crime and narrated how he and other members of the notorious gang planned and carried out the evil act.
