Ige hopeful of Shooting Stars come back
Shooting Stars of Ibadan goalkeeper, Kola Ige, is hopeful his side will overcome the unstable start of the 2014/2015 NPFL/ Glo Premier League season. Ige said the Ibadan warlords have painstakingly noted the mistakes that have cheated them of point with the sole aim of returning the side on the winning path. “It’s quite early for anybody to start talking of relegation simply because we’ve not won any game in the two-week old league. “The season just started with two matches played leaving 36 matches yet to be played in the ongoing season. “Our main problem is goal scoring, shooting and defending which the coaches are working very hard to correct.
“Nobody is resting rather all hands are on deck at the moment to steer the team back to winning path again. “We create chances but can’t score, we just need to win a game to regain our confidence and stride. “We play good football which has been attested to by several people who’ve watched some of our matches. “The hiccups are expected especially for newcomers like us but I’m quite confident we’ll in a very short time emerge stronger from the challenges. “There is nothing to worry about at the moment as we’re in the top flight to make a mark and not to add to the numbers. “We ask for patience from our teeming supporters and fans, too as the problem will soon be a thing of the past,” he said. The Oluyole Warriors have lost the entire matches to newcomers, Wikki Tourists and Heartland in the two-week old Nigerian top flight.
