Former governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala, has said his second time coming to govern the state as from 2015 “is to aid the suffering masses from all the nooks and crannies of the state. “By this, I mean the common man on the streets of Ibarapa, the yam seller from Ogbomoso, the market woman in Oyo, the displaced traders in Oje market who are the worst hit by the anti-people policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government in Oyo State.”

He spoke at the commissioning of the Operation van and Operations’ Office of ‘Team Akala’, an arm of the campaign organization of the 2015 governorship project of the former governor.

Alao-Akala recalled that the last three and a half years in Oyo State had been that of serious pain and anguish in the lives of most of the people.

“So many lives have been lost, others are jobless, while a whole lot have no means of livelihood.

“This is a clear indication that the present administration has failed the people. The big challenge for us as an incoming administration come 2015 by the grace of God is to make our number one priority the mission to restore that lost confidence”, he added.

Represented by his wife, Oluwakemi, at the event held at the office situated on Oyo road, Mokola, Ibadan, Alao-Akala said the epoch-making event “is another clear indication that our coming back is indeed an ‘Amazing Restoration’.

“This is so because, this is the first time ever in the history of Oyo State that a team of professionals will publicly come together to throw their support behind the candidature of an aspiring gubernatorial aspirant and work conscientiously towards the realization of such goal”, he said.

In his address, the Coordinator of ‘Team Akala’, Niran Adeyoju, said the team was conceived to provide a unique platform to actualize and evolve a frame work through which “we shall all lift Oyo State to greater and glorious height”.
